To power off Go1 it's necessary for your robot dog to "lay down". This is also known as the damping state where the motors are disengaged. Your Unitree Go1 remote controller has a cheat sheet on it that explains various states and actions. For the Go1 to lay down you'll simultaneously press the L2 + A buttons two times on the controller, followed by L2 + B. The video below shows this process in detail.
